7-5    Counting and Probability with Overlap


In 1-4 draw a Venn diagram to illustrate the situation.

1.    There are 20 players on the soccer team and 15 players on the basketball team.  6 students

2.    Of the 20 students who were in my class, all who spoke French or Spanish,
       12 spoke French, and 12 spoke Spanish.

4.    At a party I had for the soccer and tennis team, all 40 players showed up for the cookout.  28 of the players
